Last week, the Secretary of State for Education, Damian Hinds MP, announced the names and locations of 20 ‘Careers Hubs’. These Hubs will coordinate and support local schools and colleges as they work towards improving their careers education and meeting the standards set out by the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Almost three quarters (72%) of secondary school and college leaders feel that careers guidance has become even more important during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to new research funded by Gatsby which also revealed the extent of disruption to career guidance during the COVID-19 lockdown, and how it has altered plans for careers in the new academic year.
Gatsby welcomes today’s (Thursday 21 January) publication of the Government’s White Paper on Further Education that sets out ambitious plans for the country to have world class technical education and career guidance.
