In late 2015 David Sainsbury was asked by government to chair a panel of experts that would provide clear recommendations for measures that would not only improve, but transform, technical education in England. The panel’s report was published alongside the government’s Post-16 Skills Plan in July 2016.
In April 2017 we submitted a response to the Government's consultation on the Industrial Strategy Green Paper. Our response can be downloaded here.
Key Indicators in STEM Education draws together data spanning many years to show trends in the number of young people choosing science and maths at GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate level, as well as data on gender balance, apprenticeship uptake and teacher supply across STEM education.
We commissioned Dr Michaela Brockmann and Dr Arti Saraswat to undertake a study of what IT technicians do. Their final report, published in April 2017, may be downloaded here.
